What's on the schedule for Mother's Day? Or if you're reading this after Mother's Day, what did you do?

Do you like to have a quiet day with your immediate family, or do you open the doors to all family and friends? Do you like to get away for a few hours by yourself or do you want your kids around you all day? Brunch out or in?

What is your idea for a perfect Sunday?

For me, I like to stretch Mother's Day to Mother's Weekend. ;) Seriously, we usually see my parents and my in-laws on Sunday - both are within driving distance so we do a half day at one and then half day at another. And since that presents us with a very busy Sunday, I like to do some things on Saturday just for myself.

So today (Sat) I'm going to try to get out of the house for a much needed pedicure and we'll probably order in dinner so I don't have to cook tonight.

On Mother's Day we usually avoid doing brunch out a restaurant - we find them to be too busy and the food usually isn't as good as on a normal Sunday. My sister and I will put together a brunch at home for my mom. In the afternoon we'll be at my in-laws and I think we'll be ordering in some good Italian food for dinner - yum! My kids will be so excited to see their cousins that I don't think they'll be bothering with me so much. ;)

So for me, the perfect Mother's Day is spent with our family including my mom and my husband's mom. And seeing what the kids made at school for me. My almost-3-year-old already let her surprise card slip. =)
Well, not really much is planned today. My daughter has given me all of her gifts she made at school - you know the ones you're unsure of what they are, but undoubtly your most precious gifts ever. My son on the other hand really could care less what day it is and I'm surprised he is up before noon. I hope everyone has a great Mother's Day! Enjoy.
Well, I hope you got your pedicure! Awesome Mother's Day gift.
I am relaxin' today. DH is off Monday so I have a long Mother's day weekend:) I will send 1 off to school then use my gift certificate to go shopping. Then Next Weekend off to see my mom and Grandma- Yeah!
