Has anyone ever changed thier blog name? When I first started blogging it was more to keep friends and family updated while we lived here in England. But, it has become a good spot for me to actually "blog" if that makes sense. We are also moving back to America next month and my blog will actually become more about me and more normal everyday things. To make a longer story short, should I change my name from "The Peacock's Nesting Place" to something more personal or just keep it as is?
I changed my blogs name once. About a month into blogging.. I just couldn't get comfortable with my first choice.. My suggestion is that if you are going to change the name, you might make an announcement on your blog a few days in advance, before you do it.. That way if you have any lurkers who find you through your blog name such as on google blog search (meaning they haven't bookmarked you, or subscribed.. What are they waiting for???) They can still find you in the future.. Good Luck..
I changed my blog name and url to go with it. At first it was to promote one product but now iti has turned into a bigger project..and I write about more than just the one product, I write more about health and nutrition in general..I like it much better:)
I've never changed my blog name. The name of my blog (Home of the Lazy Dog) differs from the actual address (). Sometimes I wonder if it's too confusing but overall I'm very happy with and don't want to change it.
Stick with whatever you feel a connection with--your loyal readers will find you!
Yep, I have. And I'm still not sure on where I'm gonna settle. I'm currently Just An Ordinary Girl, which I like, but I'm mulling switching over to Apron Strings and Angst. I don't have tons of traffic yet so if I'm gonna switch this is a good time. And, as I get ready to add my pages on depression and other issues, I'm wondering if I should just create a whole new blog for that stuff.... I obsess over this kind of thing really. I guess, at the end of the day, these are our blogs and our expressions of self and we should go with what feels right for us -- unless, of course, you have a big moneymaker!
I am changing it now, I posted a blog about changing the name asking for any ideas and suggestions! I just can't get my mind right around a name! So please, feel free to meander over to my place and leave a suggestion! I'd greatly appreciate it!
Thanks for all the replies! I think I might leave it as is for now. When I move back home next month and my life becomes more "normal", I may change it as the content on my blog will become more about my rantings than just trying to update everyone back home on our many travels here in England.
