What blogging platform do you use? How do you like it?

Blogger? Free WordPress? Self-hosted WordPress? Typepad? Livejournal? Another?

I use self-hosted WordPress. And it's great, but I'm noticing there are quite a few things you can't do with it.

I'm definitely a WordPress girl! Love love love it. Self-hosted WP that is.
I also self host Wordpress and I love it! It also helps that my husband is a programmer and I have ways to get what I want done. ;)

Blogger is okay. The only thing I don't like about Blogger is that when you leave a comment, you can't link directly to your NON-blogger website. It can only link to your profile. They just changed that in the last year and it totally bugs me.
Self-hosted WordPress. I love it. I find it much more flexible than blogger. What kinds of things have you found that you can't do with it, Penny?
I'm on blogger right now and it is doing just fine but I have this dream about becoming a 'real' website and self hosting so I'll likely move to wordpress at some point in the future. I find there can be a lot done with templates if you're willing to put some hours in but, posting pics and adjusting in post layouts makes me a little crazy. How is WP with in post pics??

Blogger and I like it for now. I haven't had any real issues with it.
I'm beginning to think I'm a blogger girl myself. It really depends on what you are comfortable with and what you do with your platform. Wordpress may be powerful, but if you can't use it correctly it doesn't do you any good!
I've been with Blogger for almost 6 years,so obviously I am happy with them. The only things I can't do through blogger that i would like to do are the Comment Love and email commenters plug ins that Word Press has.
I use WordPress and love it!! Now that I've got the hang of it, I wouldn't have anything else. The ONE thing I do wish they had would be to allow JavaScript. I think it'll come eventually. In the meantime, I can live with it the way it is. WP is awesome!!
Self hosted Wordpress - love it. No problems so far.
I host Wordpress on my remote web server. I'm curious to know what it is your trying to do that you find you can't do.
Free hosted wordpress. It's the best thing since sliced bread. I'm not kidding. You probably have to be semi technical to install it, design your theme, etc but the possibilities are endless. They have so many plug ins which can add neat functions to your blog.

To compare, I have tried blogger, free wordpress, and livejournal. Hosted wordpress is the best.
I hate my current platform -- godaddy's Quick Blogcast -- but I picked it only because it was in front of my face and I needed to roll out in a hurry.

I'm going to switch soon and am waffling between hosted Wordpress and Drupal. I like Drupal better for non-blogging content, plus I have past-life experience administering (but not installing) Drupal. I might wind up going with Wordpress, though, because more hosts appear to support it.
