This site is great for mommies trying to stay in budget, especially with high gas prices. Check it out! There is one in your area and ready to help!

With a heart to help others and a generous spirit, Joe and Linda Wingo founded Angel Food Ministries in 1994 to provide food for friends and neighbors who were struggling financially. Today, they are still doing the same thing. The Angel Food program now is helping provide food relief to more than 500,000 families each month.

We started participating in this about six months ago. It's saved us a lot of money that we can put toward other things like gas for the cars. The food quality is great. We could get by with out it, but besides the savings, I know that by participating we are helping to support a program that a lot of people couldn't get by with out. It's not a charity and there are no income limitations, so people don't feel like they're just getting a hand out. I think this is one of the best programs to help families in need that's come along in quite a while.
I started participating in this program when my son's medical expenses got to high for us to control. It has definitely been a help so that we can keep up with the Doctor bills. I don't think of it as a hand out, I still pay for it, just not a full price like I would going into the grocery store. I still have to buy items to supplement some meals, but this does help to control expenses.
