How much time do you spend blogging on a daily basis?

I am referring to everything involved with blogging including comments, reading other blogs, writing posts and social networking.

I spend WAAAAYYY too much time!

It takes me forever to write my posts because I am a tweakaholic and I can find ten different ways to say the same thing and it takes me forever to decide on one.

Then I spend a ton of time reading and commenting on other blogs from blog trains or bookmarked blogs, etc.

Then I spend an enormous amount of time networking, like here and other sites.

But I really like doing it. As a SAHM with both girls in school, it fills my days with something fun because the rest of the time I spend grocery shopping, cleaning, cooking, running errands, etc.

Out of all the time I spend in those areas, I wish I could cut down on the amount of time it takes me to write a post.

Renee, very good question. It's quite time consuming, isn't it? I wish I had more time to spend reading blogs or social networking. I have three small children and get my online fix when they nap or are in bed for the night.

Here's my online investment per day/week/month:

I do a Twitter update at least once a day. (@wordtoyourmutha)

I now do a 12 Seconds update (video twitter) once a day. It posts to Twitter, so that will now count as my once a day Twitter update. (http://12seconds.tv/home)

I blog 3x per week.

I vlog once per week.

I make a video show once a month.

I only have a small selection of blogs on my Google Reader because of lack of time but I take 10 mins to skim through them daily.

I come here once a week.

That's all I can afford to do online and still be a good mom to my little ones.

probably too much and I don't want to know. :) I love it though.
A scary amount. I wake up before the kids and do my reading and commenting for a few (eek) hours. If I get a spare moment in the day with naps, I may twitter or comment, and I save my post writing for the evening, as it take s awhile, lots of revisions. So, it actually takes up maybe 4hours of my day, which is scary to think about, but it's how I use my quiet time when the boys are sleeping. It seems daunting on paper, but it just works for me.
I'd say a couple of hours.
I definitely spend more time than I should! But, I love it; it's a stress reliever for me.

As far as a schedule:

Morning nap = blog time (reading/approving comments, checking into social networks, returning comments)

Afternoon nape = blog time (catching up on the blogs I follow, reading new blogs)

Bedtime = blog time (writing my post for the next day)
