So many of our Etsy friends have asked us what a tart is that we thought it would be good to share with everyone what exactly a tart is.

A tart, for those of us that make candles, is basicaly a one ounce candle without the wick. There is still the wax, fragrance oil, and dye for color, however, instead of lighting a wick you you melt the tart in a tart burner.

So that brings us to the next question we usualy receive regarding tarts: What's a tart burner?

A tart burner has a bowl that rests on a heat source that can either be powered by a light bulb or heated by a tea light. The tart is placed in the bowl and melts releasing the fragrance of the tart.

We invite you to take a look at our shop to see what a tart and tart burned look like. Visit our shop www.gaiaco.etsy.com.

Have a great day!
