Wow, I read a ton of blogs a day....PW, Steece's Pieces, Dooce, Bossy...all of those I LOVE and read...but i hesitate to comment, because i just feel i'm overlooked. During contests, PW gets like 10,000+ comments! WOW.
I love momadvice.com, frugaldad.com, babycheapskate.com, freebies4mom.com just to name a few!! It's crazy because after you read their blogs for awhile, you really start to feel like you know them personally!!!!
I actually don't read a lot of the "big name" blogs, such as Dooce. I read it once. I read Pensieve, On the Upside, 5 Minutes for Mom, Rocks in my Dryer, and a few others, but most of what I read are other blog hobbyists such as myself who just write about daily life. I also like Up the Hill Backwards, Jen's Humble Opinion 2, Chrissy's Creative Spot, Lulu's Petals, and Enjoying the Ride. They all write about things I can relate to. I'm finding new blogs to read through MomBloggers!
I occasionally read the big name bloggers, but I really like to form a relationship with someone, and it's almost impossible on those uber blogs. I could comment every day for two weeks and never get a reply. Blogs I love are:
Musings of a Housewife: She has tons of readers, but still replies personally to most of my comments.Jo-Lynne is just so friendly. An Island life: Ditto for Kailani! So sweet! Scribbit: Michelle is so smart and creative without a hint of arrogance.
Man, I have so many in my google reader! Let me see,
I've recently found, and am enjoying Sweet Juniper
New Mommy rant is a fav for sure and Danielle who writes it is a great person - so easy to talk to.
Simple mom - great tips for living life and being creative
I also have Scribbit in there, but to be honest - her posts are a bit long so I find my self skimming (which is a shame cause she's full of fantastic info) I should start taking my time there.
Then I've got my writer favs like Canadian Writers Collective, Charles Gramlich, The Writing Mother
and of course Problogger and the like.
And my MBC girls too - ok so picking a few is really hard! I love all the blogs I read, if I didn't they wouldn't be in my reader!
The threats of internet have been well-documented over the years, and while you as parent may know how to avoid them, chances are your kids don’t. Things could get ugly real fast if you don’t ensure their safety. However, it is easier said than done, especially in the modern day because kids spend…
