While I am all about reviews, having done them myself, my google reader is full of reviews/ads/and giveaway blogs. I'd love to connect with some blogs that aren't all reviews. I don't mind a few here and there, but to read a blog that is more about parenting/marriage/spiritual stuff and add it to my Fave folder would be wonderful.

Anyone? Do you have a blog that is only 25% or less reviews and the rest of it is about life? Please share your link with me!

Thanks

PS:  Mine is Hidden Valley Simplicity with some book reviews between the "helpful", daily life posts.

I try to keep my blog about my life with the odd review here and there. My goal if I end up doing more reviews is to have reviews be only on Fridays. The rest of the time my blog is about everything else in my life. www.noliesplace.com
I try and only include one review per week and the rest is inspirational/life posts.

My blog is about my life as a writer....TheWriteOneBlog.com.
When I was a print journalist, part of my "beat" was to put together the weekly happenings in tiny town of 6000 for a special Wednesday edition. Imagine my dismay, after laboring over my first column, in realizing the special edition was basically an "ad rag," the term used in newspaper for a piece put out solely to sell ads.

I will admit to some of the same disappointment when I discovered how many mommy blogs are actually online Tupperware or Silpada parties. So your call is welcome.

I am a writer who is blogging a fictional take on motherhood as a means of "getting my voice out there," as writers are supposed to do. The story, One Click Away, at http://godeeperliz.blogspot.com is the story of a woman who is turning 40, adores her children but dreams of "going deeper." It's a fun, familiar and at times dark and steamy read, just like all of us. I hope you will take a peek. I will hope on over to Hidden Valley.

No reviews on my blog! No ads either, for the time being! In the future, I will have affiliate links and some of my own products for sale, but for now it's just me and life!
My latest post- Life's best lessons learned from our dogs

Hmmm ... don't know if my posts are really reviews.
More of great outings with photography that I brings
a smile to those who read what I write.

tomatobaby is where I write and show my pictures.

Hope not to disappoint ... skip the "landing" page
as I am celebrating my 100th post {and that means
it is a give-a-way ... blushing.}

Popping over to Hidden Valley Simplicity! ~j.
I agree - reviews are fun (for me and my readers) but overkill can take away from the blog's original purpose. That is what I learned this summer from accepting TOO many products for review at once! I ended up doing several reviews a WEEK! Too many! And I felt like I'd "lost myself" in the process of trying to keep up with it all.

Now, once I finish up the handful of reviews I already promised to companies, I am going to limit myself to 1 per week (that's only 20% of my blogging so I think I fit your description). The rest of the time will be personal posts, wordless wednesday, and my own tips/experiences as a mom! So - hope you check me out.... I'm also in the middle of a "bloglift" so you might see the look/name changing soon!

Thanks!
You ladies are AWESOME! My reader is now full of blogs I am actually enjoying. . . !
Well, I don't do anything about reviews, giveaways, etc... and if I do a review is because I really enjoyed it and not for money (and if you visit me you'll see is rare).

Come a visit... I am right now in a come back stage after being away for a while but I sure have lots of post you will enjoy! :)
Ooo, you sound like me! Life, with a few book reviews thrown in! (and don't go by my archives because I just dropped out of one review network. No time for reading books right now!
