Wordpress.com to .org (hosting with GoDaddy.)? I purchase the hosting plan, but am at a complete loss as far as what to do next. I'm not completely inept, but it's just not making sense. Any good resources? Wordress.org - not helping me!

Absolutely! I would actually recommend moving your hosting to BlueHost (see if you can get a refund from GoDaddy). BlueHost is about $8 per month and you can host an unlimited number of websites with them for that cost. Once you are signed up with BlueHost there is a handy dandy little button in the c-panel (control panel) that will do all of the work of setting up your WordPress.org account for you. No installation or any of that other confusing stuff for you to do. It will even generate your login and password for you. In less than 5 minutes after pressing the little WordPress button in BlueHost I was in my new WordPress account and playing around with themes.

Good luck... and feel free to email me at mom(at)chitchatmom(dot)com if you have any other questions. I'm happy to help!

Thank you. I actually got a call today from GoDaddy, and they said there was a problem with the install, and they are fixing it. Hopefully it will work, but I'll give BlueHost a try if they can't.
Do you still need help on this?
Thanks, but I figured it out. It actually was really easy, and the error was on my part. I just didn't realize everything was done for me, and all I hope to do was upload my old posts!
