Hi Carissa,
heee heee- hey where I live(Brazil, South America) we have to kiss twice on the cheek to everyone that we meet so I consider myself kissed-LOL.
I know what you mean about being comfortable with blogger. I started out with blogger as a practice blog. Then I heard that Wordpress was the best thing created since sliced bread (personally I believe much better than sliced bread).
So I went to wordpresss.com just to practice blog. Wordpress .com doesn't allow you to sell anything from the blog so it truly is just practice.
So that when I got my own domain and uploaded wordpress to it I would already know something about wordpress.

A few tips for ya:
always use the html editor in your posts because the visual editor sometimes messes up the code and the image configuration is not completely correct.
Turn off the wysiwyg check box in settings- I believe in profile because that will also mess up the videos that you embed.

Heyloooo my friends- I've known about codex for a while now but had never seen the page where they have all these lessons in the index categorized by theme. I found this page this morning and thought of y'all to share ;-)
