Hey,

I'm new to blogging and would like to create my own button. This might sound like an obvious question but where do other bloggers get their images and graphics for their buttons?

I would like to know too! I've had a blog for awhile now, but I have no idea about this whole button, header, etc. stuff.... but I would certainly like to know.
makes 3 of us! i also dont even know how to create a hyper link...
Hi Lynn! Are you using Blogger or WP? Making a hyper link is easy. In blogger, just copy the link you want the hyperlink to go to (like a website), highlight the WORDS of that website (in your post), then click on the little link picture in your editing box. It will bring up a box for the hyperlink and you just paste it there.

Reading that again, it sounds confusing - sorry about that! I'd be glad to help if you want to send me a DM or email!
Hello! There are several ways to make buttons, but what I usually do is go to iStock to look at photos, purchase one and then load into Picnik. Picnik, in my opinion, is a must have - it is a fun photo site where you can add text, stickers and other things onto your photos. You can take a look around my blog - just about everything on there is something I've made on picnik. There are other programs too, but to me, they are more difficult.

At iStock you purchase credits (I think cheapest is 12 for $18), but again, it is so worth it. I always find pictures that cost only one credit. They also have a dollar bin, where everything is only 1 credit. I hope this helps!
I've made my own buttons so far using my own pix and microsoft paint or GIMP (which is free to download online)

it's really not hard to do. check out Katydidandkids blog (http://www.katydidandkid.com) -she has a tutorial on her site on how to do it! PLUS a whole lot of other stuff- shes been a HUGE help for me, my blog is only going on 6 months old...
I wrote a post about how I made my blog button here:
