Spell check / proof read. ;)

Actually, I do mean that in all seriousness. I can be sloppy sometimes too, but too many mistakes turns me off from reading a blog and can even make it incomprehensible. Communication is basic.

Be patient when it comes to growth. Decide who you want to be online and what you want to offer your readers and stay committed to that.

Great tips! I suck at spelling so spellcheck is spot on for me! I think my biggest tip is to post quality content and not just rambles (sorry if you're a rambler!). Chat about a problem and how you might fix it :)

Start your blog with something eye catching.. the first sentence on someone's blog will either engage you or bore you!

This is so simple and yet so true! Ugh, now I'm fretting about mine lol thank you!

Never give up. If you lose momentum and quit or take a long break it will be like starting all over again when you get back to it. Specially at the beginning. Always learn new things and don't be afraid to ask questions.

I would advise all new bloggers to be very vocal about their new blog. Tell everyone you know and share!share!share! I'd also advise writing about things that truly matter to you. I find readers react better to real, raw, and emotional content.
