Symptoms to Take Notice of in Children

The NHS has been facing ever-increasing pressures in recent years, with slashed budgets, staff shortages and lack of resources taking its toll on the quality of care. One of the many ways we commonly see the impact of these pressures is in waiting times for GP…

How to Through A Larger Than Life Small Wedding on a Budget

This one is as simple as crowdfunding your honeymoon. It might sound strange at first, but do you really need another blender or set of dinner plates? Instead of having your guests purchase a bunch of things you’ll end up trying to return anyway, why not let them chip in for…

I don't get the chance to go to the beach very often, but when I do it is always, always, always a magical experience!

Can you imagine a world with NO beaches?

Are you a regular beach-goer? Have you noticed smaller beaches, more pollution, weather changes when you go to your favorite beach?

These are all things that will be discussed at Rio + 20, the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development.

Tell us what you have noticed during your family trips to the beach.

I live near the beach in New Jersey.  It's great, and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.  I haven't noticed a change in the pollution levels at the beaches I go to, but I think that's because they've always been pretty polluted since I've been going to them since I was little.  The beaches have gotten smaller, however.  Beach erosion is a huge issue where we live.  They replenish the beaches each year, but it's not the same.

Summer is almost over and with it, the main beach tourism season. But in my opinion, the best time to go to the beach is in the fall.  The weather is crisp and clear, but the ocean is still warm.  I love letting the dogs run lose on the beach and to splash in the waves.  Welcome Fall!

We have a private beach outside of our weekend house BUT on the rare occasion we have visited the bigger beaches it most certainly not the same as they once were. I see a lot more trash at many of them, not just in Cali either clear up the coast. There is a gorgous beach in Oregon we havve frequented for many years and we have witnessed a huge change, lack of respect for the environment and overall disregaurd for the natural beauty. That being said, I love my beaches, I love the sun, I love the water, the waves, its pure perfection and its amazing.

I am an island girl. No beach equals sad!

I live in Virginia Beach and blogged about how it feels like being on vacation. http://www.jenniferziemer.com/blog/overheard-this-weekend.html

Going to the beach is a major part of my family's summer enjoyment.  It would be heart-breaking to live without the beach!!
