I have a 4 yo daughter who was recently diagnosed with dysarthria. For 2 yrs ,i was told "when she has something to say, she'll say it" or wait to she has her tonsils out. There is not much known about disorder since dysarthria is a term used for stroke victims.I am looking for parents who like me are looking for support and advice and someone to vent their frustrations to.Some kids have been misdiagnosed with apraxia when indeed they have dysarthria.I will be more than happy to tell you the symptoms of dysarthria to those who are serious about learning about the  disorder or if you think your child i sbehind in talking or is unintelligible. My daughter had signs of the disorder at infancy and she possibly has more going on than her speech disorder.thanks for your interest.
