Baby Showers: The Next Big Thing

Like so many modern celebrations, Baby Showers have arrived in the UK from North America. It’s a real tradition over there and, like High School Proms, Halloween and Black Friday, one of those exciting social events that is catching on big time over here.

The idea is simple but universally appealing. Throw a party for the pregnant mother and her…

OUR DAILY PINS

Hello all!

I'm looking for ideas for a fun * special * delicious * entertaining Christmas Eve dinner for my husband, two teenagers, and me. We are not huge red meat eaters so that's out of the question. One year we did fondue and I think i made it more work than it needed to be.

Any thoughts? FUN is the name of the game but I don't want to be slaving in the kitchen all day prepping, either.

I am all for non traditional personally... don't know if that helps. But I have really liked trying the recipes from wholefoods.com. We have tried quite a few of their quick ones and we just tried the Mexican Chicken Soup today- yum! Good luck! Gina @ mychooclatepeaces.com

I absolutely LOVE making homemade lasagna every year. You could even make it vegan if you wanted. You can make it a day or two ahead then all you have to do is put it in the oven on Christmas Eve. That's the other part I love about it... no mess to worry with or deal with once Christmas Eve is there! AND... the leftovers work for the days following Christmas.
