For those who do giveaways/reviews. Do you use contracts or have people sign something?

I should have asked this earlier. i was just wondering If those of you who do reviews and giveaways use contracts or have something people need to sign when you promote and giveaway their product? If so is it possible you can share or tell me how to go about it? Do you fax or mail or email, if you do this?
If not, have you ever experienced a company or person not following through on their part?
As for my first giveaways I totally trust the people I am working with, they have been awesome. I just want to make sure I go about things the right way in the future!

I don't have any formal contracts and I haven't had any trouble to date. At the same time, I only work with reputable companies that I trust. I do keep a "paper trail" (email correspondence confirming the details from both sides) though...just in case...

I don't have any contracts either. I haven't had any problems yet. I do check around blogs and google info or past reviews/giveaways from the same company. Also, I'm not against having the product sent to me and physically shipping the product with confirmation and insurance to the winner so I know that it will get there. I have done this a few times and I use my ad $ for the extra charges.

That is an excellent question! I have not done any giveaways or reviews but would LOVE to get into doing them - they seem so fun. Now adays I think you have to have a contract or something for everything unfortunetly.

I, once had a company ask for a signed contract. The four page contract scared me away. It was for a review of a pvr and they wanted me to try it for three months - but sign this longish contract to cover themselves in case it was damaged.
