Happy Friday!

Question, do you respond to emails you get from companies that are general. i.e. emails that are just copied and pasted with your blog name inserted? Does it matter how big the company is? Do you send your media kit in response?

Thanks,

Laila

I usually just ignore these and hit delete :)  If it is a bigger company, then I might respond in hopes of working with them.  My inbox is inundated with press releases that I simply don't have the time to deal with.
It just depends on what they are wanting me to post. A lot of the time I email them back asking if they would like a product review (if it is a company that has a product I'm interested in) or a giveaway (if I think my readers might be interested.) There have been several products that I have thought were silly, but then was really glad I tried in the end. I think you just have to use your judgment and decide what is best for you and your blog. I do sometimes respond back letting them know why I'm not accepting their offer (like if they contacted me about girlie stuff, since my blog is about raising my 5 sons) and I let them know that if they have any other offers in the future that pertain to my blog then they are more than welcome to contact me again in the future.
