Google PR Help!

There may have been something posted about this, but I am currently NAKing and it is hard to type so I thought I would post new. My blog is growing by the day, but my Google PR just doesn't seem to be moving. Normally I am pretty savvy when it comes to web design and have ran several forums and sites, but never before did I care about Google PR until I returned to blogging. Google PR seems to be a big seller when pitching myself and I am just not sure what I need to do to increase that number. So what should I do? What have you done that worked in increasing your numbers? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I'd also love some helpful information on this topic! My blog is 2 years old & I had a good
page rank but then I dropped the blogspot a couple of months ago & I'm back to square zero
on google. I'd really like to move up in the ranks again. I am leaving comments everywhere I can
but I don't know what else to do to get the page rank up. Any tips out there?

Karine, you want to increase the number of people who link to you by providing content they will want to link to.

You only have nine links pointed to you listed in Google. You may wanted to increase the number of people who link to you.

Yea I stumbled onto that after I posted this and forgot to come back and mention that I realized they haven't updated. I did my research after and despite not having many links in I noticed that my old blog when I digi scrapped has less followers, less links in and hasn't been updated in at least a year has a PR of 2, so I think it is because they haven't updated since April. Hopefully they decide what they are doing soon

Well, PR is a confusing thing....

While it does help to get more links, of course, if you really want to boost your PR without spending hours upon hours writing guest posts and exchanging links with other blogs on only PR2 blogs, you have to find say three blogs/websites that have higher PR rankings, if say you are at a 2PR, but you want to get to a PR3, if you convince say, 3 people with a PR5 blog to let you write a guest post, your PR should increase. However, Google doesn't tell us the exacts, so it's really a guessing game on how many links you need to get to increase your PR to a 2,3,4,5 etc.

Google only shows a very small fraction... siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com gives you a better idea.

PageRank is tracked internally by Google, updated pretty much constantly and exported for public view on an irregular basis to the Google Toolbar. There hasn't been a major update since early April (except for scattered claims of updates on a small, small handful of pages). It doesn't look like it's ever going to be exported again, but it still will probably be used internally at Google. PageRank is kind of misused... Google has said many times not to focus on it.

It's companies who base EVERYTHING off of it that make us have to focus on it. It's garbage, I hate it. And quite frankly, at this point, I hate Google too. LOL. WHY make a system and then never update it? If they don't plan to update it again, SAY SO, so all these people who think it completely defines a site/blog can MOVE ON. Lol ;)

You may want to check out your SEOMoz rank, I have started mentioning mine to companies who ask about Google PR. It's similar and updated much more often.
