Did you know that CMV (cytomegalovirus) is the leading cause of childhood disability in America? 1 in 150 babies born is born with CMV. Of those, 1 in 5 will be permanently disabled! CMV disables more children each year than Down Syndrome, Spina Bifida or Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Yet, only 14% of women know about CMV.

My 7 year old son Brendan is severely disabled and medically fragile due to CMV. In 2007, I established the first non-profit foundation dedicated to raising awareness about CMV.
