I was reading an essay today in a really, really good book about a mom who is trying to teach her daughter that being too attached to money and material possessions is unhealthy because what happens if one day you lose it all. Of course, that made me think about blogging and I asked myself could I stop blogging today and be content. My answer is no.
What about you? Could you stop blogging today and be totally content with your decision?
I'm using my blog to document our lives. Somehow it's much easier to blog than to write in a journal or even type in a Word document. I don't know why. I would hate it if I couldn't do it anymore. I rarely have any visitors to my blog, but I really do enjoy it and I hope nothing ever happens to it. I need to start copying my posts to my computer in case it does, though.
its true i write in my blog more than in my sons baby book. i would be beyond sad if something happened to it. which gets me thinking... i would LOVE to turn my blog into some sort of coffee book as a keepsake. any ideas? anyone know of a company that does that for a reasonable price?
It depends on the circumstances, but I think I could probably give it up. If I wasn't having fun anymore or if I thought the quality of my writing was slipping then yes, I would stop blogging. I'm very proud of my blog and am still having a blast after three and a half years, so I don't think I'll be quitting any time soon.
Nope. Like Laura, I blog to document our lives, and unfortunately I'm an awful scrapbooker! I love going back over old posts and reading cute things my boys have said or done that I've forgotten about.
I think I would really miss it. I had a rough year last year and I used my blog as an outlet to focus on all of the positive things in my life and share my joy with others. Now I love reading the comments people leave, sharing memories with my friends and family and thinking about the next post!
I suppose I could, I just can't think of a reason why I would have to. My blog is hosted on a free site, and the library provides free internet access. I guess I don't see the connection to being attached to a material possession, because that's not how I view my blog. I view my blog as an effective way to interact with people and share my love for something, and being attached to that isn't unhealthy.
Whenever two people form a relationship, there are moments when one might believe the other is cheating on them. Whether it's out of insecurity or there are signs that just don't seem right, it is painful and betraying. The good news, there are also signs that strongly suggest your man is not running around. …
Whether we like it or not, we will all at one point have to wear the event planning cap. Why is that? Because we are human, and along with our humanity come life celebrations: baby showers, weddings, graduations, anniversaries, retirements, funerals, and the list goes on and on. I'm sure that I don't…
