How do you monitor/limit computer/phone game time with your kids?

With so many awesome "educational" (or so I tell myself) games available on the computer and in the form of phone apps, how do you monitor access to it all for your kids?

Although it may not be entirely true, I find that I tell myself that these options are "better" than a video when I need to get stuff done, but the habit is creating little tech monsters in our home!

I was excited to recently discover as a way of limiting the time, violence, and control content for my kids.  It's free, and has been a lifesaver... like a way of kid-proofing my computers, phones, and tablet!
