How to ask to review?

Or should I ask, do you ask to review or do they just offer? Or both?

I'm not so new to the blogosphere but I would love to review family friendly products for small businesses. Etsy, separate websites, etc. With even a possibility of a giveaway.

My philosophy as of right now is not to gain any profit from reviews or my blog traffic. I'm new at this, like I said, so I feel as though I don't really need to monetize at the moment. It's a hobby for the time being.

Also, you could check out blog reviews websites...I just signed up for BuyBlogReviews.com where you get paid to write articles for other sites.
