There are alot of ways to generate more traffic to your site. Here are some methods that you should try to increase your site's traffic:

1. Social Bookmarking- Submit each an every one of your blog posts to social bookmarking sites such as stumble upon and digg.

2. Create a video about your site and submit it to alot of video sharing sites

3. Write articles for Ezine and post a link back to your website.

4. Engage in forum discussions.

5. create a slideshow and submit it to slideshare.net and other similar sites

6. Combine all of your blog posts into a pdf file and submit it to ebook sharing sites and torrents.

Getting traffic to your site takes time so just stay consistent with your efforts and continue to build links back to your site.

Those are great ideas, ezine does send traffic but sometimes just uses your articles and you may never realize the impact the blog has on the reader. Not all who check it out will comment. Keep content fresh even if you post once a week. It may take years to get a blog really noticed but if you are enjoying the process and learning from it, followers will come.
