I would like for my blog to have more interesting things on it other than just posts. I do not want to do giveaways or reviews. Any suggestions? Also, I was thinking of blogging twice a week instead of once a week, does it really matter?

Thanks,

Torie

I subscribe to your email, and your blog is interesting to me. Do you have any hobbies or anything that you do? I've seen some blogs that post tutorials. I post at least 2 times a week, and I'm trying to post more often. I've seen so many varieties in blogs - once a week to every day, so I don't know if it matters or not. I hope this helps you a little bit, but I've only been blogging since February, so I don't have too much advice, sorry.

I love it! Personally, I think there are enough give away/review blogs. I enjoy reading what you write and that's enough to keep me coming back. I'm following you on twitter now too. I suggest to look at blogs you enjoy and see what kind of stuff they have going on. If you enjoy it, that will translate to your readers.
I try to blog at least twice a week, but I have to admit I'm bad about it a lot, time gets away from me.

how about posting when you see a great deal, or news story?
Maybe post a favorite video or something once a week? Just something to give a bit more insight into you and what you like and to engage your readers a bit more?
I love your writing style - your posts are great! How about a weekly (or monthly) parent post - post a "bad mom" moment, a OMG I can't believe my kid said/did that, etc. and encourage other moms to chime in? Set it up like a blog hop maybe...
Thanks everyone for the great ideas. I think I am going to try my best to post something twice a week and I have thought about videos or funny stuff I run across. I appreciate the compliments as well. Thanks.
When I first started blogging in 2005, I broke up regular posts with stuff like lists of my favorite movies, recaps of my favorite TV shows, and my thoughts about things happening in the news. There was no such thing as review or giveaway blogging back then LOL

Hope that helps!
