My boring blog HELP!

I just looked at a couple of websites that do web design for blog and such. I couldn't beleive the prices! ($300+) I know I must have been looking in the worng places. I want to spruce up my blog (momminestimeouttoday.blogspot.com) but I don't know how. Ca anyone give me some advice?

interesting topic. i hope you find a good deal. i enjoyed looking at the blog template available out there through the website designers. i was just thinking of re-doing my blog header too, but luckily i have a artistic friend who is helping me for free.
