My Non-Blogging Friends and Family Think Blogging Is.....

There is definitely a disconnect between those who blog and those who don't. What do your non-blogging friends and family think about blogging?

Some of them don't know what blogging is. For the ones who do, I'm wondering how often they actually read it.
I've only been working on my blog for a month or so... I've had it in notes since the holidays...
My husband - he always thinks I've gone off the deep end....but that's not news.
I only shared it with friends this week - and the ones that have replied have been very supportive.
My neighbor the blog has tremendous potential. She's the best!

they read & are supportive. They understand it's creative, they relate to it a lot more than anything else I have written, & enjoy reading about the kids because it's people they know.
Most of my family thinks its a waste of time and that I shouldn't be sharing my life on the internet. However, friends have been very supportive and have even said my blog was inspiring to them..which is great, since that is exactly what I am trying to accomplish!
No one in my family is very interested in my blog...which is good, as I have more freedom to vent! Sort of kidding...
they on't really know what a blog is, and even when I explain, they still don't visit. Oh well...Facebook friends check it out a lot though...
They are really annoyed by blogging -- even more so that I have a blog. They read it... and they like it, but still feel annoyed... I think because I'm sharing my observations with the entire world rather than just them. Jealous, perhaps?!?!

My non-blogging friends and family don't even know what a blog is!
My sister thinks it's great. My mother doesn't know what it is. My grandmother is kinda clueless. My father thinks the internet is the "DEVIL". My husband thinks it's ok but I spend to much time doing it.

Overall it all depends on what I think and I think it's AWESOME!
Other than my daughters and my mom, the rest of my friends and family think it is silly. Ohhhh...but spending hours on facebook playing with a farm and leaving brief impersonal comments on everyone's page is not? (Sorry...but if they make me fight about it:-) I love blogging and go in phases. Sometimes I get really personal and lately I'm in a decorating mood. But either way, when you go to my page you meet "me" and the people and things that I love. I'm okay with what others think and I absolutely LOVE some of the people I have met through my blog so I guess I'll keep on merrily blogging. Great question, by the way!

They don't blog either because they don't have the interest or the time that they can keep up with it. Most of my family and friends know and my blog and enjoy reading it.
Either they love it or they think I'm crazy! I've also had people say it looks like a ton of work:-)
a joke. they think it's a scam. and I'm like...uhm I'm not paying anybody! how is it a scam?
