Hi Erica,

 

There are many places online that you can get free backgrounds, templates and headers for your blog.  One of my favorites is thecutestblogontheblock.com  They have tons of free backgrounds and a few templates.  For my blog, I used Plumrose Lane.  I purchase the header from her on Etsy but she has free backgrounds on her website as well.

 

All you need to do to install is add a gadget and put the code in from their website.  :)

Another great source for a blog redesign is TribalBlogs.net. They have an Extreme Blog Makeover and they will work with what you want (it's not like they just do a design and give it to you). Hi Erica and welcome to blogging!  I am on Blogger too and The Blog Design Girl did my blog.  I really like it.  you can see it here at www.mommykudos.com and her info is on the right side on the bottom of the page by clicking on The Design Girl button.  Also funkyfaithdesigns.com is newer to blog design and does a good job.  Check her out too!
