Out trial sytem isn't about justice for the victims - thank heaven

There is so much OUTRAGE over the Casey Anthony not guilty verdict. People are furious that the jury acquitted her. One restaurant owner in Florida has gone as far as banning members of the jury from his restaurant. I wrote a blog about this because there seems to be a huge misunderstanding about the U.S. trial system and the way it is designed to work. It's not about justice for the victim - it's about protecting the rights of the accused and I'm glad. It's well thought out and carefully guarded so that an innocent person isn't wrongly imprisoned. Read it - it's worth knowing about.

If you want to be angry, be mad that the State of Florida brought the case to trial, spending nearly 1,000,000 of tax payer money to do so, without enough tangible evidence for the jury to convict based on the charges against the accused. As much as we may all think that Casey had something to do with Caylee's death, she can't be convicted on suspicion.
