Life Changes I Wish I’d Made Sooner

By the time I turned 25, I was sure my life was a single-lane highway.

My friend and I started a recipe blog in April of this year and are trying to figure out how to promote our blog, Cooking with J and J.  We have a Facebook page but would like to expand our viewers.  We'd also like to swap links with other food bloggers.  Any suggestions and feedback on our blog would be appreciated. Check us out at http://cookingwithjandj.blogspot.com/ and on Facebook at Cooking with J and J.

I personally get a lot of visitors from Twitter. I would definitely recommend opening a Twitter account for your blog if you don't have one already.

When I first opened my twitter account, I searched for other people who had similar interests (mom bloggers, frugal bloggers, parenting sites, etc) and followed them. Oftentimes these people would follow me back as well. If I found a blog that I really loved, I made sure to follow that blogger on Twitter. I also follow companies whose products I like, and some local pages: my local news, tv stations etc. Then, every time I update my blog, I send out a Tweet with a link to my latest entry. I also make sure to include a link to my blog in my Twitter profile. I think it's a good way to get the word out about your blog without being overly spammy. I have found some of my favorite blogs through Twitter!
