Each day I wake it becomes more and more of a challenge to remain
persistent and consistent everyday.  Sure I read all the positive,
motivational quotes, read my Bible, and pray.  But the reality of the
situation is, being self employed is hard.

You are forever at the mercy of others; you must create remarkable,
memorable methods to get the attention of people.  Some days you won't
make any money, but you will make friends.

Making friends helps because even though they may not buy from you right
now, they may later.

Recently I've decided to use my mailing lists in a very different way,
that is, just to reach out and call folks instead of emailing them.
See, I still believe that good old fashioned contact by phone still
works.  Its the cornerstone of communication.

Last night I had an interesting experience, I invited 7 people to an opportunity
call
and none of them showed up! (at least not that I know of)

But that's ok, because we will have another opportunity call Thursday
night and I'll just invite more.  Eventually, somebody is going to show
up!  It's just a matter of time.

The moral of this story:  Just keep doing what you're doing.  It's not
wrong, you're not stupid, you're not a failure.  You're just being
persistent and consistent everyday.
