So i wrote an article today that i'm pretty proud of. How do i get people to read it?

Hey there.  So I'm following the rules, commenting on blogs.  Joining Twitter but every once in a great while i actually write a piece that i'm proud of.  So here's the question.  How do you get a wider audience?  How do you get Retweets.  It's so frustrating.

I tried that follow me thing on Twitter and it's down right now so i don't have alot of Mom Bloggers on my Twitter account.

Any advice for a new blogger?  Anybody?  Anybody?

Hey thanks for replying. I do put it up on Facebook and Twitter, I just don't have that many followers and stuff. Thanks for the advice though!
Try tweeting about it at different times of the day - for instance, most people I tweet with are usually on at 2pm my time, but my posts usually go up in the morning. So I will tweet about it again myself to get the link out. List your blog in as many directories as you can, make sure you are showing up on search engines and make sure the keywords from your post are on target. Sometimes keyword research can make or break who views a post because people are searching for what you are writing, but with different words.
Thanks. I do tweet throughout the day. I appreciate it though
