Is Gambling a Man's Thing? We Dare to Disagree

To be a professional gambler, you need to be a man - at least this is what many media outlets and society as a whole are trying to tell us. Of course, men are seen as being risk-takers but this doesn't necessarily translate into them being the only gender to enjoy playing casino games. Stats show that as many women enjoy a few spins on a Royal Vegas slot machine than…

Whether we like it or not, there is a learning curve to mom blogging.  No one's perfect and that means sometimes we make mistakes. What is the biggest mistake you've ever made as a blogger?

Selling text links was a huge mistake for First Class Fashionista She has been recovering for a year now. Stop by and check her out! She loves new visitors.

I'm fairly new to blogging too since May. =/ I know I'm making lots of mistakes =/ I don't have a specific niche well at first I thought I did. Started the blog to help hopefully with our Etsy shop (hasn't worked). So still trying to figure ourselves out! =/ I just noticed someone mentioning about using girls in their name =( I just discovered after paying for a URL exactly what she was talking about when I accidentally put in .net =( Horrible horrible. I took off the jewelry and gifts (what we do) because I thought maybe that was a holdup on some visiting our blog. Where we do talk about and have a box showing our jewelry it's not "in your face" but I think people just seen that and didn't go any further "sigh" Chose the name because we live in Arizona and we are mother and daughter never thought of anything else =(

The next biggest mistake was jumping into to many things to fast! Thinking it would happen and it didn't. Now I belong to all these things all over the place and don't remember half of them or the info I used =/

Reading to much and of course so many different opinions was more confusing and frustrating =/

Have done a couple giveaways for other Etsy shops and I have fun doing them but I don't want to be just a giveaway and product review(not that I've had any yet) still trying to figure it out =/ I also because of the girl/s in the url now know why we get and lose followers on twitter all the time hahaha That is funny though now that I finally figured it out on twitter ArizonaGirls was taken so I used GirlsArizona the disappointment for some that start following us hahaha

It's Ok to make mistakes or live life! Either way you want to word it thats how we grow right? I know without a doubt I will be making a lot more haha

Starting too late. I took too long to jump into blogging because I didn't think I had anything interesting to add that wasn't already being said. Lesson learned: everyone's voice matters.
I would have to say that aftera month of blogging, thatnot posting enough is the biggest mistake I've made so for. I'm trying to find ways to fix that since it is mostly a recipe blog. I'm still learning and have a lot to learn.
Thinking that I could blog everyday and thinking that was the only way I could get lots of traffic!!! Learnt my lesson pretty quickly though that posting everyday was just not possible! Its kinda like expecting to have sex everyday, you just can't maintain that!!!!LOL!!
Having my blog email connected to my old email through google.  I use my personal email more than I should since I can't change my email on google.  Still trying to figure all of that out.
You can't have ads on (basically the WP equivalent of blogger), but when most people mention wordpress they are talking about the SELF-HOSTED
lol- way to much to count! I feel like I am just learning!
I'm right smack in the middle of this right now!! I have a ton of "followers" but I can't get a response from a "reader" to save my life!! :(

to think that the number of followers (at least on my personal blog) mattered!! I would much rather have READERS than "public followers"

Making "promises" that I don't have time to keep... "Come back tomorrow for a giveaway" (and then I don't have time to get it all posted) or "Later today...a Safety Post" (and then life happens and I can't get it posted). Not that I think people are sitting on the edge of their seats waiting for it, but it just seems like it would turn me off to a blog if they say something is coming and it doesn't. I have to stop myself from this!!
Me too.

Facepalm.....definitely over sharing. To the point of feeling a little nauseous after I posted, then feeling so embarrassed that I've taken the post down. I think I was trying to be real and honest and just...share.

Not being consistent. I'd always start off well, but my posts became more sporadic over time. Reading my "Insights Report" on FB really helped me to see the correlation between consistency & readership....during the times when I wasn't consistent, my readership was the absolute lowest. Now I've started another blog and I'm really hoping I remain consistent, lol!!!
