thinking about homeschooling, any recommendations for the CAVA program?

Thinking about starting homeschool for my dyslexic high school freshman, who is a traveling athlete.  Having  a hard time keeping up with the full school schedule.

Anybody have input on that CAVA program?  Its the one I'm thinking of trying.

I love it for my junior highschool daughter. I am considering it again for 5th grader. The teacher we had in our area was awesome. I just talked to the old teacher about 504 Plan and she said that CAVA has a really good 504 team and SPED. So I would talk with them. The curriculm was a bit higher that regular standard at least it was for jr high. The support from teacher was available anytime. even through whiteboard online class. I do believe the Highschool program is a bit different. The work is presigned online so you dont have to worry about doing lessons, the kids have more responsibility. The teacher on the other end always knows what is being done. I have my 10DD in a homeschool program now that I only chose because I was talked into by another family to co-homeschool. I should have joined CAVA. Let me know what you do.
Unfortunately I missunderstood the enrollment. I thought I was to wait until his semester finals were completed and it would be his benchmark to enroll in CAVA. I called at completion , they told me "sorry closed yesterday!".
I was devastated, I thought and searched so long to make this switch and made plans based on it. I had to scramble and find another program for second semester. The only one open was KAPLAN virtual High School.
Its quite rigorous and I hope my son can handle it. They have one special ed teacher to over see the 504 kids, but they don't lower the work load or make any adjustments for reading - its state mandated material - period.
No textbooks, everything read online. He will begin next week. I have not yet disenrolled him from his school yet.
We are nervous about all of this. But the traveling schedule has presented itself so he's off and competing a lot next 4 months. This is why we needed flexible schooling. See how it goes.
