I am not even sure where to go with this but am thinking maybe some experienced bloggers may have advice.Let me say first ... I am in love with my blog! I love the therapy it brings me, the friends I have reconnected with and the new friends I am connecting to. So it is breaking my heart that I may have to stop or change things.
It seems a former family member of my husbands (alright ... ex wife of 20 years) has been "tuning in" and to make a long story short, has been harassing me and others by spreading some pretty nasty lies and libelous nonsense. I of course blocked her but she went so far as to make up fake email accounts and tries to get through. Of course I can delete it but it is truly upsetting to me. There must be a way that I can keep doing what I am doing without succumbing to her fear tactics. Anyone have any words of wisdom?
Thanks ...

block her IP addy....that shoud work..oh yeah and ignore her. I have one of those ex-wives lurking around too lol.
How do you go about blocking someone's IP address?
If you use blogger and can track her IP address you can use this tool:

http://www.webupd8.org/2009/07/how-to-block-ban-users-from-visiting...

I like this better than toolator because you can add a message that pops up when she tries to visit your page. And you can add as many IP address's as you want.

Hope this helps.
I had the same thing happen with a relative who is not mentally stable. She left comments on my that is geared to family friendliness that we not very friendly or nice etc... I had to put the moderator on the comments area. I did apologize to my readers but all my regular readers understood. Good Luck
Thank you everyone. I need to find her IP address again. I deleted her comments and am happy to report it has been almost a week without harassment ... maybe she is getting a life or is real busy with Turkey and leftovers! ;)
block IP - so sorry this is happening to you, it must be super frustrating!
do you have your comments on moderate first before posting?

that would help you weed them out as well, is she gets thru
