Joining link parties have brought me a lot of followers, but not very many page views. I get the most page views from facebook and pinterest. Also, writing guest posts for more popular blogs can bring you a new audience. You can join Mom's Library and check out my Link Party Directory to link some of your posts on other peoples blogs. What sites have you submitted your blog to?

This is a great thread! Jennifer I completely agree with Janine. Linking parties and communities like this one are a great start. With bloggers and gaining followers it's more of a marathon than a sprint.

Getting going and gaining followers is hard, I agree.  I've just started doing link parties, and am seeing a bit of increase.  I know I need to be more patient, but all the advice I can get is so appreciated!  Tanya @ http://lemonsforlulu.com

This is great advice! I am enjoying blogging so much, but it'd hard to be patient when you want it to take off fast! Thanks for the wonderful thoughts! Love it!

My followers came from a huge rush in media.

Guest blogging on popular blogs also makes a huge difference.

Blog hops help of course we host one every Monday that's very popular.

Sometimes it's just figuring out your audience and knowing what they need. Then you'll have followers and be helping at the same time :)
