My primary goal this year is to grow my readership. I work really hard (harder than for my "paid" job!) to make my blog informative to moms at the same stage of life as I am (moms of preschoolers). I want to be able to share that information with as many moms as possible!
While I love to write and would blog even if no one read my posts, I really want to inspire other people! My goal for my blog is to present health information and creative ideas that really inspire moms to be healthy.
My goal is to start approaching the blog as a business opportunity. Right now I'm not sure how I'm going to do that, but I hope to come away from BlogHer with lots of ideas and PR contacts. My ultimate goal is to become a freelance writer, but I need a steady gig right now to pay off some debt.
My blog goal is to keep readers coming back--not because I follow them so they follow me, not because they feel obligated to visit because I comment on their blog, but because I've written something that makes them want to visit over and over again.
My goal is to keep up my amount of posts per week (I'm shooting for 5 per week), majorly increase readership (right now I'm still pretty much at the friends and family level), and someday, I hope that my blog will actually become a resource people commonly use before shopping for baby clothes. I hope that readers will utilize it as an honest, unbiased assessment of what is out there in the world of baby clothes and benefit from tips about sizing, pricing, where to find certain items on sale, etc.
I have three. One: Try to add something helpful and meaningful to the momblogging community. Two: Get back into writing for myself (rather than writing what I need to for others, which is my current part-time paying job), and make it quality writing. Not only do I hope having a blog will encourage me to write every day, but I hope to write something decent every day...here's hoping.... Three: Find if there are other moms who think like me, because sometimes I feel like I'm not like the other moms... either I'm okay or I'm off my rocker! :-)
