What if blogger ever tanked? Would we all loose our content? Do you back up your templates and content often - ever?!

You can use a plug in to back up too.
I back up daily. I get an email to my inbox.
When wordpress upgrades, I back up manually before I update.

I had some formatting trouble right when I started an lost a lot of work. Fortunately my host had most of the actual content, but none of the tags or filing... hours to set right. And that was then...

Back up often!!!
I do a back-up through the export option at least once a month. I also have each post e-mailed to me and I save them on my hard drive, as well as on a disk. My computer crashed on me awhile back and I lost a TON of pics so ever since then, I do a back-up on CD's of EVERYTHING!!!
This is part of the reason that I moved to self-hosting on Wordpress.org, the fact that there was more control over things.
