I have been noticing through my research a reoccurring topic of  back links.  This is a foreign topic to me and I really want my blog to be successful so I am willing to do what I need to get it there. Can some one tell me what back links are about and how do I get them?

Here is my blog URL: http://skinnyfiberwithpeta.blogspot.com/

According to Alexa you already have 21 back links.  This is where other bloggers or sites link back to your site or one of your posts or pages.  Hence the term back - link.

Getting links from others shows to Google that you have something worth reading and passes credit to your site.  Then Google uses this info to determine your page rank and how far up in search engine results your site should come.

You shouldn't do anything to get them - in fact Google will penalise you if you do try to manipulate results.  Just write great content that people want to link to and share and your backlinks will increase organically.

I am just seeing this thanks Deby I did some research and got the concept. I like your blog I will follow you. You can check my blog out as well http://skinnyfiberwithpeta.blogspot.com

You can get backlinks by various ways. Most easy way is exchanging links with related blogs.

Blog commenting is another way of getting backlinks.

You can also write on other blogs as guest blogger to get a backlink.

But remember, Google is very rude against link spammer. So you have to build links slowly.

Thank you.
