What is blogging for you? A job, a hobby, or a combination of both?

So many mom bloggers are in different phases of blogging. Some are brand-new to blogging and consider it a hobby. Other moms have been blogging for years and now consider it a hybrid between a hobby and a job. And some mom bloggers approach their blogs strictly from a business point of view.

Blogging is a hobby for me, but I would love to turn it into a paying job somehow. I approach marketing my blog with the knowledge I acquired on the job though.

I've been blogging for a short time now, but I hardly remember life before blogging and wonder why I didn't get started sooner.

I think I fall in the category of a hybrid blogger. I like blogging and would do so for a hobby; however, I recently released my first novel, A Little Bit of Sin, and have other online businesses like www.kneedspirit.com and realize that I need to promote them online and on my blog. So, in order to keep up with the so-called Joneses I need to blog to get the word out.

A combination...I enjoy writing about my interests and consider that a hobby. My blog, however, also generates leads for my marketing work PLUS it generates some revenue through advertising ...so it has a business component as well.

I love to write. So, because I'm doing what I love, blogging is a creative release and an enjoyable pasttime. At the same time, I have a vision to to help moms who want to create health for their children and their family… moms who have the desire to make a healthy difference but just don't know where to start. This vision is much more of a passion than a hobby. It would be nice it the blogging brought in some extra money, but I've just started so I'm not there yet.

Right now it's a hobby. My goal is to start making money with it. I've been working really hard to bring in and keep new readers.

It's mostly a hobby. Aside from the reviews I do, I blog on my own schedule. If I'm having an off week/month, then I take a hiatus until I can think straight again.

For me, financially speaking, blogging is a hobby (as in I don't want to make money directly from my blog). However, as a parenting writer/speaker/consultant, everything kind of works together so I wold have to go with "combination of both".

It is a hobby but one that I hope will turn into a business. My job requires me to work odd hours and I would love to be able to work from home and spend more time with my family.

Blogging for me is a combination of a job and a hobby. This is the first job I really enjoy. My enjoyment is no doubt due to the fact that I am the boss. Like La Mom, I hope that becomes a paying job, but until then I am satisfied to let it be my hobby/job/therapy.

Blogging - as a hobby - has opened "work" doors for me. I have written magazine articles, gotten ghost blogging jobs and was chosen to ghost write a book - all bc of www.parentclub.ca.

It is a pleasure to blog - as a creative outlet, for experience and living portfolio.
