What is blogging for you? A job, a hobby, or a combination of both?

So many mom bloggers are in different phases of blogging. Some are brand-new to blogging and consider it a hobby. Other moms have been blogging for years and now consider it a hybrid between a hobby and a job. And some mom bloggers approach their blogs strictly from a business point of view.

What is blogging for you? A job, a hobby, or a combination of both?

I blog strictly as a hobby. I enjoy writing. I think it helps my mind open up and think clearer. I wasn't prepared for the delightful blog connections that come with blogging. I have met a few bloggers in person. Really great people worthy of meeting and getting to know. All the bloggers I have connected with have helped me in some way relate, my life is certainly richer because of it.

Living, Loving, Laughing Blog
Blogging is mostly a hobby, though I do have a blog for my business which would make that my job :) But my personal blog is my hobby, place to vent, and place to share thoughts with my friends, family, and others. I wouldn't mind making it into more if that opportunity comes my way!
I started my blog as a hobby, but it also provides therapeutic value for me at times, as well.
I would be happy to be able to consider it my 'job' and make a profit at some point in time.
It's a hobby for me. I'd love to be able to turn it into a business at some point, but for now I'm content with what I'm doing.
I blog as a hobby. :)
Hobby...my goal from the beginning was to use it as a pregnancy journal which I hoped would help others...I went through a lot of high risk issues but in the end had happy, healthy kids. As it is today, my main goal is still to help others and provide information. I also love to share about my life's greatest blessings.
Right now, I work outside of the home full time. I began blogging with the hopes and desire to turn it into a business at some future date so that I can stay at home full-time and begin enjoying life without worrying about the normal 8-5 routine!

I just recently thought about blogging more seriously. At first, it was just for fun and for close family members, but as it turned out, I do a lot of stuff! I like a lot of things and I love learning about new things. I don't keep a journal anywhere else. It's so much easier on the PC.
Blogging is an addictive hobby for me. I'm a think tank so I'm always thinking. If you were to look at my draft box you'd see waaaay to many blog drafts ready to go at a moment's notice. It's a great outlet. Not really venting ~ more of self expression and a desire to connect with other bloggers.
Great question.
It is definitely a combination of both for me.

Blogging has been a hobby for me in the past. Now, however, I would like it to be the starting point for something more. I've always loved writing, and am an avid reader, and want to get back into writing now that the kids are bigger. There are things I am very passionate about in this life, and I feel it is incumbent upon me to use my voice as a force for change. :)
