What is blogging for you? A job, a hobby, or a combination of both?

So many mom bloggers are in different phases of blogging. Some are brand-new to blogging and consider it a hobby. Other moms have been blogging for years and now consider it a hybrid between a hobby and a job. And some mom bloggers approach their blogs strictly from a business point of view.

What is blogging for you? A job, a hobby, or a combination of both?

It is a hobby to me, but also to share hope.

I just started blogging, so right now it's a hobby. I don't know if I could blog enough to make it a business.

I have been blogging for years as a hobby to keep far away family and friends updates on our lives. Recently I have decided to start a new blog and try and break into blogging as a business. I really love to share my ideas with others so I am constantly looking for new and exciting people to follow/ visit my blog. I love leaving comments on other's blogs and love reading the few my blog has picked up so far!

I just starting blogging in Sept. 2010 and am so addicted. I find writing to be therapeutic and never realized I had so much to say. My husband agrees that I've been a happier person since starting to blog (not that I wan unhappy before, but you know what i mean.) So, I guess I use blogging as an outlet and find comfort in other blogs.

I would love to say one day that blogging is my job, because it comes so naturally and aren't you suppose to make a job out of something you love? That's what I've heard anyway:)

My blog is neither a job nor a hobby, It is therapy.

I started blogging when I was home on mat leave with my first son.  I was exhausted and frustrated and lonely.  Blogging helped me talk to someone, even if there was no one talking back.  I took a long hiatus when I returned to work.  My husband ended our marriage and left me recently and one of the first things I started to do was blog again.  I have lots of supportive family and friends and I am seeing a therapist, but blogging lets me say anything I want when I want.

It is mostly a hobby, I really enjoy it. But if I could earn an income on the side that would be pretty awesome!

Blogging is a hobby for me right now. However, being that I write for a living, I am hoping to one day earn from my blogging venture. I hope to be an authoritative blog for moms who work from home, particularly those who are freelance writers.

Right now blogging is a hobby, but I would love for it to turn in to a combination... we will have to see as I just started at the beginning of 2011! :)

I would love to know more about becoming an affiliate.  Right now I'm trying to build my follower base.

It started as a hobby. A creative outlet like so many other things in my life; scrapbooking, photography, painting, collage, decorating etc, etc (mylist is LONG!) but now I have turned a corner and have been accepted as an affilate for some of my favorite businesses. So now when people click on an ad on my site...I GET PAID. And it is starting to help justify the passion (and time) I have put into my site. I love blogging....finally I have the audience I have craved for so many years.

Happy to answer questions from anyone about my site, blogging, advertising etc.....!

I would like to network for my home businesses but also meet other moms along the way.  I enjoy knowing that others struggle with the same issues as I do :)  Shaleen

I'm new to blogging and it is a hobby for me still. I love to blog because it gives me a chance to voice my opinions and have adult conversations while stilll being a SAHM!
