What is blogging for you? A job, a hobby, or a combination of both?

So many mom bloggers are in different phases of blogging. Some are brand-new to blogging and consider it a hobby. Other moms have been blogging for years and now consider it a hybrid between a hobby and a job. And some mom bloggers approach their blogs strictly from a business point of view.

At this time, since I'm still learning the ropes, it is a very fun hobby. The interaction with other bloggers is great , especially with other moms and crafters. It's kind of addicting. :)

Hmm.. this is an interestng question.. Blogging at my personal blog The Mom Writes is a passion, a pastime that allows me to connect with other moms, discuss, read and share. Blogging and writing at other places and sites is definitely a job:-)

My blog started as a way to keep friend and family updated on the status of my daughter's upcoming transplant. I've started to try to expand my audience, though, to try to reach out to other families in a similar situation.

Mine is a little bit of both too. I started with the final goal of having a income producing blog, however I knew I had to write about something I LOVED because it will probably be a good 2 or more years before my blog is bringing in an income. So at this time it is a hobby with the final goal of being a job :D

Blogging is definitely a hobby for me. I try to post as often as I can, which isn't much, between running publications and crafting items to support my authors. I wish I could do it more often as blogging really relaxes me and gives me a chance to express my own views. Time just won't stretch far enough for me to accomplish that dream at the moment :)

Blogging for me is a hobby that I take seriously... I don't make any money off of it right now, but I would love that to change in the future (as I'm sure most of us would). I love to write and having my blog holds me accountable to writing on a daily basis and has made me challenge myself in other avenues of my life.
