What makes my favorite blogs my favorites are mostly the writer's sense of humor, the ability to take the serious things in life and put a positive, funny spin on it. At the same time, I enjoy heartfelt posts too....ones that really make you reflect on your life and gives you new insight.
I can't say anything has really turned me off as far as blog content.
I never listed my favorite, I'm still choosing, but content (it must be witty), good visually with good quality photos and cohesive background, header, design etc.
I cringe when I see blogs with bad language. Is that really necessary? And if the blogger isn't responsive to your comments.
I like a blog that is generous. What does that mean? Well, that it really offers something to the reader and doesn't ask much in return. Right now I really like : http://hair4myprincess.blogspot.com/ because she offers something she does really well, showing unique, adorable hairstyles and doesn't pretend to be interested in topics as a subterfuge for selling. Also http://nerdinthecorner.blogspot.com/ again, nothing is forced, she just writes funny stuff, we have a similar sense of humor and like my blog, this one isn't monetized to the hilt. There are more, but I like them for pretty much the same reasons. And I am really proud of my own blog, and because it's my new baby I'm really in love with her right now. http://flavoredmom.blogspot.com
I like blogs that share every day life - blogs that make you laugh and relate sort of like shows like Everybody Loves Raymond - you just laugh and say - that is us! I like deals, savings advice, educational content, travel and scrap booking
