Hello Ladies~ I have a 5 year old boy who most days I wonder if we were blessed with him to teach us about PATIENCE! Our daughter who is now 10 was a dream...she would sit quietly and look at books, watch a movie from beginning to end and even play QUIETLY by herself at times...our son on the other hand has NO concept of what QUIET means! I usually say to people "I would rather raise 100 girls over 1 boy!

New to the group and just wanted to say hi! I have three boys, 5, 3.5 and 5 months. They are a handful to say the least. My husband and I are still contemplating whether or not to try for a girl again but I might shoot myself if I got another boy! I guess I was not fully prepared for all the wrestling and constant competition. I think the craziest stuff is when they fight over who hit who with an imaginary object or who stole the imaginary object from who. Not to mention the tornado of cars, blocks and legos that has hit my family room whole house. They are really cute though and I cant possibly imagine what my life would be like if I had girls. Everyone I run into says to be thankful for boys so I am even if I long to dress somebody up in a dress and cute little hair bows.

I am apparently the elder states(wo)man here, having managed to raise three sons to the ripe old ages of 18, 20, and 25. They all still live at home, so I can't decide if I've done something really, really right or really, really wrong! I do NOT miss looking for babysitters willing (or able) to tackle three boys, however we did have a couple of great ones back in the day. My big sister's advice proved to be invaluable: when you find a good sitter, use her often and pay her well!

P.S.... it just occurred to me that some of you may be interested in a giveaway I'm having at my store. I'm having a drawing for a pair of young boy shoes. You can choose between squeaky shoes and soft soled leather shoes. If you are interested, the details are on my blog under contests.

I just joined Moms of Boys and wanted to introduce myself. I'm a mom to 3 young boys ages 11, 4 and 19 months. I am also a work from home mom with 2 small businesses. The first is a web designing business called Pages by Nancy, the second is an online boy retail store called One Stop Boy Shop.

Blogging has become a passion, reading them and writing them.

I look forward to getting to know all of you other Moms of Boys.

I think here the going rate is about $10 an hour for a nice teenager and a bit more for a college student with a car, etc.
