Hi Rhonda - Congrats on your book! Really wonderful!! I am trying to use the link you gave us for My Journey to Publication but it's not working. Please re-send when you can. My book is about single moms (and how amazing they are) and I am in the midst of sending queries to agents....
Best,
Swati

Hello everyone...
So nice to see all the new members! I'm really impressed by all the women out there trying to... and in most cases, making... their dreams come true. Work it!

I just wanted to post a link to a cute weekly feature I do on my blog, Tales of an (Almost) Mommy. It's called Baby Braggin' Wednesday.

http://talesofan-almost-mommy.blogspot.com/2010/01/baby-braggin-wednesday-alisha-and-ella.html

Essentially, I write up posts about my readers, friends and family's little nuggets. It's my way of braggin' about all the cutie-patootie's out there! Please check it out and if you'd like your munchkin(s) featured, please send them my way!!!! My email is on my blog.

Cheers,
Patricia

Hi Maternal Spark: really loved reading about 'twinkle twinkle staw' :-)...very sweet. I couldn't find a way to Follow you (and now I'm thinking it may be my computer) so please tell me if you have a button out there.
Best,
Swati

Hi Irish - I left you a comment at your site but couldn't find your "follow" buttons. The RSS feed gave me an error..please let me know how you'd like me to follow. I enjoyed your post about why you write - I have to say I don't have the "normal" reasons either (not an English major, don't have a passion for grammar :-) ).
Best, Swati

Oh! I forgot to leave a link to some of my work :) This is a recent non-fiction post from my blog http://maternalspark.com/wp/?p=2017 and here is an older flash fiction post I had published at Salome

Hi Rhonda, I just visited your site and tried to follow the link to your seven part post on publication. I am very interested in reading all the parts of it because I am in the process of seeking an agent for my manuscript right now. I read part 7 after I found it by searching (the linky you provided didn't work for me). It was great and very helpful. Please post the other links too if you can! I'd be delighted to hear more of your great advice. Thanks for sharing and congrats on your recent book publication!! It looks like an awesome book. Great cover art too.

I wanted to share a new book that I am reading! It is a great resource -
"Writer Mama" by Christina Katz I am half way into it and it is very helpful for aspiring writers!!! I suggest you pick it up!

Hello all! I just joined this group so I thought I'd introduce myself. I love to write fiction but put the novel on hold after I got pregnant over 3 years ago...there's 20,000 words waiting for me and I will pick it up again someday. For now, I'm focused on my site, Maternal Spark, where I write about motherhood and creativity.

Part of my website is a mini literary magazine where I publish flash fiction - it's my favorite format. I've had a few pieces published myself online and really wanted to use my online home to showcase the work of others. I just love to write and read, and write! :)

I look forward to getting to know you all!

Hello,
I'm a published author. My first novel, Secrets and Lies, made it's debut on December 1st. (((((( clapping )))))) It's been a roller-coaster ride for the last thirty days. My website is at http://www.rhondamcknight.net and I blog at http://www.urbanchristianfictiontoday.com My blog is a mostly author interviews, book reviews, writing craft and some publishing chatter, etc. I do occassionally write a piece for my readers that delves into "Rhonda's World", so I'm sharing the link for a series I did last year called "My Journey to Publication". It's series of seven post from submission, to getting the call, finding an agent, the contract, etc.

I look forward to getting to know everyone.

Blessings,

Rhonda
