Hi all:
I have managed to get Chapter 3 in my short story out there (whew!) and would so appreciate any and all feedback http://tinyurl.com/ygurdm6. Now off your blogs!

Mom on the Run - I can't seem to figure it all out either...it's either a good book writing day, and nothing else - or I manage to get other stuff done. All I've done (and it seems to have helped) is set aside each day of the week for something specific (so either reviews or writing in your case) and that seems to have helped just so I"m not trying to flip back and forth quite so much. But I'm still working out the kinks because nothing is simple :-)!

I attended a conference this weekend. The conference confirmed to me that I need to decide who I am. Am I a writer ? Am I a product reviewer? Is it possible to do both? If I write up product reviews, my writing on the sites I write for suffers. Ditto for the times I write articles. I neglect the piles of products waiting for my attention.

Has anyone successfully combined writing with product review writing?

Hello my fellow "aspiring writers!" I have written a short story that I would love to have some input on. Eventually the story will grow into a murder mystery but I am trying to fall in love with the main character right now and all her quirkiness! Here is my blog of "Book #4". I would love some input! http://mindlessconvo.blogspot.com/

30, Swati? Wow! It would be nice to just get an email sometimes saying "Yes we received your ___" wouldn't it?! Well what can you do but keep knocking on doors, right? My crux right now is that I'm sending queries and short stories off to kids' magazines but I can't send out the same story to mulitple pubs. So I have to really build my portfolio. Not the easiest of things to do w/ a toddler around, LOL!

Yang Mommy,
30 of them have said nothing to me either :-)!

Lori - I will look it up - sounds like a powerful memoir. I'd love to know how long it took you to complete it and if you had a professional editor?

Patricia: You took me back to my days at NC State! (And my lost southern drawl).

I'd love to be feeling SEAPODish, but heck, just getting ANY sort of communication back has been a challenge. Maybe I'm not aggressive enough, who knows :)

Patricia, it truly is a small world!

I commented on your post, not realizing that was you. One of the women who owns that website, and lives in my valley, just met with me a few days ago and I became a subscriber.

Anyway, I made a comment for you over there, and I did love your post!
