Hi All!
Terri--Welcome to MBC! I'm your newest follower and I look forward to reading more about it. I checked out that website and realized I have been there before, but it's been awhile. So thanks for the reminder!

Alexandra--I'm your newest follower too! I LOVE your subtitle that you can't use your friends as therapists forever. So true! Looking forward to reading more.

Meagan, Peryl, and Jillian--Thank you so much for the nominations and the kind words! As always, I am so thankful to be a part of this group.

I'm off to read more of your blog posts! Have a great Easter weekend everyone!

Welcome Alexandra, I'm sure that your youngest got his brains from you, right?

Judging from your last post, we are lucky to have such a fun loving new member and I look forward to reading more stories about you and your family. Thank you, BTW, for subscribing to my blog.

To let us all get acquainted better with you, we hope that you and Terry and other new members of the group send us a link to your favorite posts.

Today, I am recovering from the shock of transitioning from beach to a foot of snow and hibernating in my office to write and visit all of your blogs.

Peryl, I have signed in before to your paper but will gladly do it again so that I can keep up with your wonderful writing. Also, I know a wonderful woman in our valley who has an organization for abused children and I have been trying for months now to get her to write a post on my blog about it. Thank you for reminding me to contact her again.

Heather, I will be sure to nominate you for the same reasons that Meagan mentioned.

Beth, I too appreciated what you said about catering to different writing styles. I find it sooo difficult to stay focused when I am trying to freelance, build a writing business and remain true to my blog. At some point, something has to go and I'm afraid it will be my blog.

Ha! Dear Jill: thank you for your help. Me, over here, Nimnuts over here, had to have my youngest tell me, "Mom? you need to sign in." Voila! Signed in, and got in.

The future is secure with my little one here, and his techno knowledge. Thank you!

Hey Ladies - April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month - and I posted today about an amazing organization in Seattle that works to end the cycle of child abuse. I was wondering if you might all be kind enough to check out my post (http://blog.seattlepi.com/parentingadabsurdum/), and also if you would consider putting a similar post up sometime this month, highlighting this or another organization in your own area. Calling attention to some of the incredible organizations that help abused and neglected children is a good way to show people how to take a positive step in the fight against child abuse, which I know is a cause close to all of our hearts - and together, we are a powerful force of blogging action!!

Thanks for giving this some thought - Meagan, I'm off to check out your blog, and Heather, I'll be right over to nominate you!

Hello all,
Back from the cabin. Great place to send the kids outside so I can write from the desk by our window. It was inspirational and I got a lot accomplished for the outlining of my book. I have posted my writing exercise for the day at my blog: What the Blog is Going on Around Here?

Heather,
I went on and nominated you...not because you asked, but because I really think you have a great blog with heartfelt posts. I think we all know what it means to be promoted and followed by other writers, and it is easy to promote and follow talent. Good luck!

Terri-
I checked out that literary mama site...and you are right! There is some great writing on there. Welcome to MBC!

Have a great Easter weekend everyone!

Hello! Just joined Mom Bloggers Club a couple days ago and am still finding my way around and checking out the many amazing blogs. When I found this group, I had to join. Have you guys seen this site http://www.literarymama.com/? I just found it the other day and am really into it. If it's already been shared here, sorry for the repeat!! (It's not my site, I just came across it in my internet travels and really liked it.)

I hate to ask for a favor, but you ladies are all so supportive that I thought it was worth a shot. I'm attending a military blogging conference next weekend, and nominations are currently going on for best blog in several different categories, including military spouse. If you get a minute, would you mind voting for me? Unfortunately, you have to create an account but it's pretty painless. The link is http://milblogging.com/listingDetail.php?id=4107. I know this sounds silly, but I've been in contact with editors at 2 military related publications, and if by some chance I win this blogging contest, I'd like to think that my chances of publication increase. Thank you! And you know I'll always return the favor!

Hi ladies! Finally have some time to drop by and say "hello," and peruse your blogs. I've had my head stuck inside my romance novel that I'm writing, encouraging the inner vixen within! :)

My blogging has taken a backseat, but I added to that too. The other week, Yin Mama wrote about raising strong daughters and I've commented back about raising strong sons, too. Come check it out and I'd love, LOVE to hear your opinions on how it might be hard for you to raise a strong son vs daughter.

Jillian,
I too have been "disconnected" for a bit. I have been at our cabin where the internet is shaky at best. I got some writing done on my newest venture, and I am glad to be home so I can reconnect to other things now...including updating my blogs.

Beth...I like your insight about having different styles of writing for different things. I forget that there are such varied kinds of writing that inspire me, and I hope to find that balance you describe.

Refreshed and ready to get reconnected this weekend. I'll be catching up on the posts and writing I missed while I was unplugged.
