I have had information on the MBC Mom Book placed on One Stop Publisher: http://onestoppublisher.com/MBCMomBookInformation.aspx. Feel free to let me know if there is anything I missed.

Comment by Linda Boulanger just now Delete Comment I'm working on the info for everyone concerning the MBC Mom Book. For starters, we are looking for short stories, poems, anything mom related (though no photos or illustrations). This post on Swati's blog is what got the ball rolling: http://www.thesinglemotherschronicles.com/2010/04/28/the-dating-mis... So, as you can see, it doesn't have to be totally mommy and child. There are many aspects of being a mom... As for length. I would like the book to be AT LEAST 100 pages so that gives us a bit of wiggle room with length of each piece though no one piece should dominate :) Also wanted to make sure everyone knows that each writer will maintain the rights to her work but the copyright of the book as a whole will belong to TreasureLine Publishing. More information coming soon. It's taking me a while. I have only submitted 3 other books to the printers this morning, answered a million emails and offered my shoulder to a friend who just lost her job (with a new baby on the way!)...among other things! If in doubt about your potential submission, please feel free to email me (awesomemessages@sbcglobal.net)

I've been busy lately... I think I read through all the comments and you guys can count me in. Although, I'm a little skeptical about my writing fitting in. Children's short stories? (That's my forte anyway.) I guess I do have some that could fit into the "mom" category. Sounds pretty exciting.

Beth, I am glad you asked. I am a publisher as well...or should I say part of a group that owns TreasureLine Publishing. Our publishing company actually has two facets. We are a traditional publisher as well as offering publishing services through our One Stop Publisher. All books are published under the TreasureLine Publishing name. We are small but growing by leaps and bounds and, we offer our authors top-notch service. Part of my dream has ALWAYS been to help other authors achieve their dream by providing a way for them to get their book(s) published and a means to market those books. Thankfully there were others who felt the same way and we formed our own publishing company. We will publish and market the book. Sorry I was a bit sketchy about the details. Anyone who is interested can email me for more specifics (AwesomeMessages@sbcglobal.net).

Linda:

I'm a little confused about what you're doing with these submissions. I get that you are publishing a book, correct? If so, WHO is publishing the book?

Sorry for all the questions... I will also shoot you an email :)

Linda - Sounds great! Look for my submission soon, and of course you are right about the blogging...- stick to what inspires you and right now that is what inspires me.

Everyone put on your thinking caps...or would that be pull out your pens! My email address is AwesomeMessages@sbcglobal.net if you want to start sending submissions! All work is welcome as long as it is mom-related and I will let you know if I have any questions on your submissions. Also, if you have ideas for a title...I will most likely create the cover myself and a title may jump out at me as I go through the submissions. But...if you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them. I'm excited. Can you tell? Publishing and Writing are my dream jobs and to have been given that opportunity is a dream come true. I love my job!

Cj...I think you should not be concerned if your posts are too sad or not. We always have the option to read them or not. They are very moving and obviously from the heart. I say continue, especially if you find them helpful.
