Hi all. Check out my latest post at
Also, let me know your thoughts on something. This may be kinda wierd. There is something that has recently been going on in my life - a secret if you will - that I am itching to blog about. But I don't want to TALK about it with some close family members. Ever feel like that...? Something you want to share through your writing or art - but really isn't up for discussion. (Not talking about the actual writing part)

@ Swati, yes definitely! And I will be doing other workshops in the future depending on interest. I know you check out my blog from time to time, but you can also stay updated on upcoming events and webinars by subscribing to my newsletter at! Thanks!

Sure anytime Jen

These sites are great to write and learn when you just enter the field of writing. Its also a great way of creating your portfolio before working for a real boss.
I just read your page. Never heard of before.

Textbroker needs you to apply and pays per article. Its good as you can choose what you want to write and just make sure you submit on time. I make most of my money there..after a while i guess now I am eager to step into the next level of freelance writing. I hope to get a contract soon.

And yes wish i knew these groups when I first started..would have saved me soo much time and anguish doing the research!

Hi Aysha and thank you for the tips! I just joined Bukisa and will have to check out and the others. I am heading over to read your blog right now, I just posted a page on my blog talking about my freelance adventures too :)

Really glad that there are groups like this for support and information!

Hei Jen
I guess you and I are sorta in the same place.. Well some other sites I started writing are Squidoo, Helium and Bukisa...

If you want to, you could try ghostwriting at I do that too....That and Break Studio.

I am currently opening myself up to freelance opportunities such as those posted at scriptlance and elance. Hopefully something clicks soon

You should look at my new and upcoming blog Journey of this Online Writer Mum. Here I talk about the journey from Day 1...where I wrote, what I wrote, resources and writing tips that I picked up etc...
That could help..

Hi, nice to "meet you all" :) I am looking forward to exchanging ideas about breaking into the writing business. I am currently a freelance content writer for several websites. Not much money, but hopefully it will lead to something better! Stop on by for some great craft ideas, health news and how-to's, or follow me on Twitter and I will return the favor!
