@ Julie--What a touching post and so very, very true!! Everyone should take time to read this if they can. It is a good reminder of how fleeting this time is our life really is. Thanks for sharing, Julie!

@ Julie...Still singing mantra..."killed grass is will be back some is the kids who go make the most of them today" Love Erma Bombeck

@Carrie...I absolutely felt really nervous the first time I sent out an article. Be encouraged that it does get easier with time. I try to remember that whatever I write is not going to please everyone, and each reader looks at the words through his/her own filter. If you are honest and do what you love...there will inevitably be people who love you too. Hang in there...part of the nervousness is excitement!

Yikes! I finished my first magazine article yeasterday and sent it off to the editor. Now I'm fresking out a little bit, so nervous to have people read it! That is so silly since I want to write but I really am nervous. Anyone else ever feel like that?

@Julie - Thanks so much for coming by to read by blog! I appreciate it! For the comments, I've had to take an extra step to prevent spamming, so there's another word verification box that comes up when you leave a comment. If you don't do the word verification, then your comment doesn't show up. Frustrating, I know. But I got so sick of having to delete all the spam comments.

I stopped by your blog too. Very funny and so true! I love Erma Bombeck and never tire of her writing! I'm also your newest follower!

Jennifer: Love your blog...I posted a comment but don't think it showed up. Your blog is also so creative! I really need to update mine but don't have the energy as of yet! Good luck with your blog....look forward to reading more.

Hey everyone...just posted a new blog and would appreciate your comments. Most of the writing is from one of my favorites, Erma Bombeck, but it goes to show you that some things never change...not even after she wrote the column I refer to over thirty years ago. Motherhood is all the same langueage. Would appreicate your thoughts......

Black Friday – it’s Not Just About Fashion

Fashion, eh? It comes and goes, then comes back around again, at once fleeting and eternal. A style is in one month and then is never heard of again – until it is heard of again, of course.

The quest for fashionable clothes never ends; it’s just that what is in vogue is always changing.…
